Rhubarbe & Strawberry Tart

Crust:

Use 2 pre-made puff pastries dough

 

Filling:

¾ cup sugar

3 tblsp flour

2 cups sliced strawberries (fresh or frozen)

2 cups sliced rhubarbe (fresh or frozen)

 

Garnish:

1 egg, beaten

1 tblsp sugar

 

Prep:

In a large bowl, mix the flour and the sugar. Add the fruits and combine well.

Place puff pastry crust on a lightly floured baking sheet, joined in lengh at the middle

Place the filling in the middle of the puff pastry

Fold the edges into the center making a boarder to hold the filling in

Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sugar on the edges of the crust to make golden and sweet

Bake for approx 30 minutes if fruit is fresh, 35 minutes if fruit is frozen or until puff pastry edges are golden brown.

 

Cool and serve.
